It isn’t enough to tell a student that robotics exists. We put the hardware, the mentorship, and the registration fees in front of them so they can actually compete.
Our Mission
Empowering the next generation of engineers — wherever they happen to be born.
Tech To Empower is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, established in 2023, that brings FIRST robotics and hands-on STEM programs to underserved communities worldwide. We started because we saw the same pattern everywhere we looked: the talent was already there — the access wasn’t.
So we do the unglamorous, specific work that closes that gap. We ship 3D printers to Jamaica and Tamil Nadu. We start and fully fund FTC teams that couldn’t otherwise register. We mentor neurodiverse students weekly through an entire season. We take a robot to a Diwali festival and hand the controller to a kid who has never heard the word “FIRST.”
Build local capacity
Every makerspace we fund and every team we start is meant to outlast us. We partner with local organizations so the programs keep running after the printers arrive.
Design for who gets left out
Rural classrooms, neurodiverse students, girls in STEM, under-resourced teams. We aim our work at the people most programs quietly skip.
